Theresa could not sing anymore, but had
a great sense of voice capacity and the capability of a person apt to perform.
She could not provide vocal samples herself, so she created a collection
of sounds on her computer and played them to her students. She’s
been carrying her digital recorder and recording all sorts of voices: from
her students’ performances, to those nature-based, but also included
sounds such as bells, trains, cars, sirens, or people talking. When needed,
she kept recording on her digital camera (trashing all the shaky video
footage), or her mighty cell phone. Her students were able to imagine every
possible situation. “Singing is all about imagination,” she
used to say..
